How to Start a Tampon Company?
Make an Initial Business Plan

Before you invest your money into the tampon industry, it is important to make an initial business plan to lay a solid foundation for the future business. Not only do you need to obtain the related certificates to manufacture sanitary tampons, but you also have to consider the general manufacturing costs of the tampon napkin by your target market. In addition, if you do not have your own formulation for producing sanitary tampons, then you will have to purchase the existing formulations or develop a unique production way with the help of professionals. This cost can range from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars. As one of the top tampon manufacturers in China, Tayue has already helped many enterprises produce their own natural cotton tampons businesses. Having a professional R&D team, we can help you to make tampon business plans that suit your needs the most.

Choose the Right Tampon Material and Manufacturing Machines

Cotton is one of the most important raw materials for making high-quality sanitary tampons. The choice of natural cotton can directly influence the user experience of tampon napkins. Different from many tampon manufacturers, Tayue will only use 100 percent cotton fabric to produce our tampon products. Thus, in comparison with many bulk organic tampons on the current market, the natural cotton tampons produced by Tayue are not only famous for their absorption ability but also for their eco-friendly features. In addition to the choice of raw tampon material, it is also important for start-ups to choose the right sanitary tampon manufacturing and packaging machines and hire the right manpower to operate these machines. That is a daunting and expensive task. If you do not wish to go through this process, then you can come to us for help. Having obtained various certificates for producing organic tampons with applicators, Tayue has various medical-grade workshops at your service.

Define your Brand and Register for Taxes

After you settle down all the equipment and formulation you need to make cotton tampons, you will then need to define your brand and make sure your brand value is well expressed through your products. Providing professional OEM services, Tayue can customize the packaging of your sanitary tampons in line with your brand needs. Just feel free to contact us for more info! Let us be the stepping-stone of your tampon business!

Where to buy tampons in bulk?
1. Online wholesale: You can search for sanitary pads wholesalers through online e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon, etc., to negotiate with merchants and make purchases.

2. Local large supermarkets: In large local markets, such as Sam’s Supermarket, you can communicate with relevant contacts in the supermarket to purchase services in bulk for sanitary pads.
Are organic tampons worth it?
Organic tampons have organic certification for the final product. That is to say, from cotton seeds, planting, and processing to the production process, process, environment, related materials (such as catheters, cotton threads, etc.), and even packaging of cotton sliver factories, all must meet the highest standards of non-toxic organic substances. The safety of this product is undoubtedly the highest (including non-allergenic, non-toxic materials and other characteristics). Of course, it is also relatively high in terms of price.
Without a doubt, we recommend organic tampons. While it might cost you a little more each month, the long-term health payoff will undoubtedly be more substantial. Moreover, the natural ingredients can also be decomposed naturally, without polluting the environment.

In addition, organic products may reduce the risk of TSS in addition to avoiding the residue of cancer-causing chemical poisons mentioned above.

What did we use to test tampons?

In the study, these researchers used expired human-packed red blood cells to test the absorbency of menstrual products. They found that menstrual disks are the most absorbent products, holding up to 80 mL of blood. Tampons, pads, and cups have an average absorption range of 20-50 mL.

Applicator Tampons How to Use?

  1. Wash Your Hands: Start by washing your hands to ensure cleanliness and avoid introducing bacteria.

  2. Unwrap the Tampon: Gently remove the tampon from its packaging, making sure the applicator is intact and ready to use.

  3. Get Comfortable: Sit on the toilet or stand with one foot on a higher surface, such as the toilet seat, to make insertion easier.

  4. Hold the Applicator: Grip the applicator by the middle (usually where the two sections meet). The rounded tip should be pointing upward.

  5. Insert the Applicator:

    • Gently insert the rounded end of the applicator into your vaginal opening. Aim toward your lower back at about a 45-degree angle.
    • Push the applicator in until your fingers touch your body.
  6. Release the Tampon: Once the applicator is in place, use your index finger to push the smaller tube (or plunger) into the larger tube. This will push the tampon inside your body.

  7. Remove the Applicator: Gently pull out the applicator. The tampon string should hang outside your body for easy removal later.

  8. Dispose of the Applicator: Dispose of the applicator according to the instructions (in the trash, not the toilet).

  9. Check Comfort: You shouldn’t feel the tampon if it’s inserted correctly. If it feels uncomfortable, you may need to adjust or reinsert.

  10. Change Regularly: Remember to change your tampon every 4-8 hours depending on your flow.

Important Tip:

  • Always use the lowest absorbency needed for your flow to avoid the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).
