Non-Applicator Tampons Absorption Test
How to Use Digital Tampons (Non-Applicator Tampons):
Wash Your Hands: Start by washing your hands thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and prevent bacteria from entering the body.
Unwrap the Tampon: Remove the tampon from its packaging, making sure the string is hanging down and ready for use.
Get Comfortable: Find a comfortable position, either sitting on the toilet, squatting, or standing with one foot elevated on a surface like the toilet seat.
Hold the Tampon: Grip the tampon with your thumb and middle finger, allowing the string to hang free. The rounded, soft tip should face upward.
Insert the Tampon:
- Using your index finger, gently insert the tampon into your vaginal opening. Aim toward your lower back at a slight angle.
- Push the tampon in until it is comfortably placed, leaving no part of it outside your body. You should not feel it if inserted correctly.
Ensure Proper Placement: If the tampon feels uncomfortable or is not deep enough, gently push it further using your index finger until it feels right.
Check the String: Make sure the string hangs outside your body, making removal easy later.
Change Regularly: Change the tampon every 4-8 hours, depending on your flow.
Remove the Tampon: To remove, simply pull the string gently downward and forward. If you feel resistance, try relaxing your muscles and pull slowly.
Important Tips:
- Always use the lowest absorbency needed for your flow to reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).
- Never leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours to avoid health risks.
